The Messerschmitt ME-109 kit from
Watts wings contains everything you need to build this fearsome
German fighter of World War II. All of the foam parts
are pre cut on state of the art CNC machines and snap together
with easy tab and slot construction. The ME 109 has
a strong airframe thanks to its carbon fiber shaft “skeleton’,
both in the wing and the fuselage. With its 43” wingspan
and 12 oz weight, it is stable, lightweight and really flies
well. The Me109 was designed for ease of flight--the canopy
pops off to give easy access to the batteries. This kit can
be built two ways – either true to scale or built for
performance. The performance option has outstanding
flight characteristics as the design has been tweaked a bit
from scale. It has over size tail surfaces and ailerons.
The WattsWings ME-109 , as
all of our kits, is set up for dual aileron servos. This
will allow you to mix ailerons as needed for flaperon
control. This allows the use of a computer radio with
the ability to set dual rates and exponential throws. The
canopy pops off to give easy access to the batteries.
With WattsWings you get the ease
of build, economy, lightweight and strength of modern foam
and carbon fiber construction, without the “flat” look. Checkout
the assembly instructions. They contain full color,
detailed photos showing the straight forward assembly. You
will see the accuracy provided by the CNC cutting with its
superior parts fit.
