The P-38 kit from Watts
wings contains everything you need to build this beautiful
aircraft. All
of the foam parts are pre cut on state of the art CNC machines
and snap together with easy tab and slot construction. The
P-38 has a strong airframe thanks to its amazing 15 feet
of .300 carbon fiber shaft “skeleton’, throughout
its wing, fuselage and booms. With its 54 ” wingspan
and 32 oz weight, it is stable, lightweight and flies great.
The P38 was designed for ease of flight--the superchargers
pops off to give easy access to the batteries, and the wing
tips are removable for easy transport. This kit can be built
several ways – the airframe is true to scale, but the
control surfaces have multiple configurations.
The WattsWings P-38, as all
of our kits, is set up for dual aileron servos. This
will allow you to mix ailerons as needed for flaperon
control. The standard configuration gangs the flaps and the
out board alerons as flaperons and does not utilize the rudder.
This is a very stable, well performing configuration. This
allows the use of a computer radio with the ability to set
dual rates and exponential throws.
With WattsWings you get
the ease of build, economy, lightweight and strength of
modern foam and carbon fiber construction, without the “flat” look. Checkout
the assembly instructions. They contain full color,
detailed photos showing the straightforward assembly. You
will see the accuracy provided by the CNC cutting with its
superior parts fit.
