The MIG-3 kit from
Watts wings contains everything you need to build this slick
Russian fighter of World War II. All
of the foam parts are pre cut on state of the art CNC machines
and snap together with easy tab and slot construction. The
MIG-3 has a strong airframe thanks to its carbon fiber shaft “skeleton’,
both in the wing and the fuselage. With its 42” wingspan
and 10 oz weight, it is stable, lightweight and really flies
well. The Mig-3 was designed for ease of flight--a hatch
in the top cowl pops off giving easy access to the batteries.
This kit is
true to scale from its sleek fuselage to its weaponry. The
only compromise on scale is the ailerons have been increased
in length, running all the way to the dihedral break. With
its long nose and nice sized control surfaces, the MIG-3
is a snappy performer.
The WattsWings MIG-3 , as
all of our kits, is set up for dual aileron servos. This
will allow you to mix ailerons as needed for flaperon
control. This allows the use of a computer radio with
the ability to set dual rates and exponential throws. The
forward cowl battery hatch pops off to give easy access
to the batteries.
With WattsWings you get the ease
of build, economy, lightweight and strength of modern foam
and carbon fiber construction, without the “flat” look. Checkout
the assembly instructions. They contain over a hundred
detailed photos showing the straightforward assembly. You
will see the accuracy provided by the CNC cutting with its
superior parts fit.
